Cellular/LTE Device Management

Cellular/LTE Device Management

Mobile operators are required to support and maintain a wide range of smart phones. They need advanced device management capabilities that will allow uniform, comprehensive and automated management of these mobile devices which will reduce their support costs and increase customer satisfaction.

Friendly's Cellular/LTE Device Management Solution

Friendly offers a comprehensive, fully featured, robust solution for mobile operators to automate the deployment and support of cellular/LTE mobile devices (mobile phones, smart phones) via OMA-DM.

Zero Touch Provisioning of Services

Friendly's solution enables fully automatic self-installation (Zero-Touch Provisioning) - including connection to back office systems, and automatic configuration devices with any parameters related to relevant services provided to the customer. The solution dramatically reduces subscriber acquisition costs. The user simply connects the device and all the services are configured automatically (email, WAP etc).

Automatic remote diagnostic and configuration of the device settings

The ability to remotely diagnose and configure the mobile phone dramatically reduces average call duration time. No need for expensive long conversation with the user on how to configure the device and solve user-oriented provisioning problems.

Mass Update / Group Update

The Management Platform enables remote configuration of a group of devices (mass update). The update may include parameters, which are required to maintain the service to the customers. The group can be dynamically created based on the user's info and/or phone type (model/firmware versionת etc).

Software/Firmware Image Management (FUMO)

The system enables downloading full or partial firmware updates. The protocol provides mechanisms for version identification, file download initiation (OMA-DM-initiated downloads), and notification of the OMA-DM of the success or failure of a file download. The update of firmware can be sent to a single device or a group of devices. For security purposes, the file can be digitally signed. This signed package format ensures the integrity of downloaded files, and prevents third parties from remotely configuring the device.

Ongoing support cost reduction

Self-support portal to reduce the number of calls to the help desk. Non-technical users can solve problem by themselves and configure their devices remotely.
