Friendly features an SNMP adaptor to its TR-069 management platform. The adaptor enables the management of all the TR-069 and SNMP devices on a single platform, offering unified management of TR-069 devices and older devices, which do not support TR-069.

Device Management Platform via SNMP

The Simple Network Management Protocol (SNMP) was used extensively in managing devices prior to TR-069, and is used today to manage high-end business routers. These networks include various types of Customer Premises Equipment (CPE) that contain SNMP agents. They can be managed remotely by the Friendly Technologies SNMP Device Management (FTSDM) solution.

FTSDM can manage CPEs that include an SNMP agent and are able to respond to standard SNMP Get and Set operations. FTDSM is an add-on server to the FriendlyTR69 Suite. The FTSDM system translates the SNMP protocol to TR-069 commands. This architecture offers extensive management features and proven product stability of the FriendlyTR69 Suite when managing SNMP Devices.
