Friendly Released Version 2 of its Automated Test Platform for TR-069 Device Interoperability

Dec 23, 2011

Version 2 of Friendly TR-069 IOT Tester released

Friendly Technologies released Version 2 of the TR-069 Friendly Tester, offering Automated Interoperability Testing of CPEs based on the Broadband Forum's TR-069 specification and the PD-128 test plan. The product is intended for CPE vendors and xSPs.

The tests help verify the compliance of devices to the TR-069 standard and help discover problems that are difficult to detect once the devices are deployed. The tests also eliminate the need to manually test the devices for TR-069 interoperability and compliance, reducing costs and time to market.

Based on Friendly's ACS, the IOT tester offers a wide range of testing activities for devices implementing CWMP.
The specified test cases were selected by Friendly based on the functionality deemed most important to service providers' ACS usage, and are conveniently grouped into "full test" or "partial quick test". Test results can be viewed on screen and exported to a file. Tests can be customized and additional test scripts can be added at any time.

TR-069 Friendly Tester CWMP functionality can be easily benchmarked and tested consistently and efficiently over time. Regression tests can be performed throughout the development cycle to ensure TR-069 interoperability.
