Friendly conducted a Connected Home webinar
Friendly Technologies presented a webinar on the subject of the Connected Home to a worldwide audience of customers, distributors and other interested parties. The webinar was enthusiastically received and proved to be a great success.
Elan Migdal, CEO of Friendly, discussed the current state of Connected Home technology and marketing trends. Among the most significant technology trends Migdal pointed out are the emergence of new and more powerful CPEs and the development of new standards led by the Broadband World Forum (BBWF) and Home Gateway Initiative (HGI).
In discussing marketing trends for carriers and xSPs, he indicated the major challenges they face, including increasing ARPU by selling services and content, increasing customer loyalty, reducing churn and deployment and support costs, and positioning the Residential Gateway as the center of the Connected Home.
Migdal included a succinct competitive analysis of offerings by the current major players in this market, including Google, Microsoft, and Apple.
Migdal then presented Friendly's offerings. These include Friendly's unique TR-069 Remote Management Suite, Connected Home Remote Management for Carriers/xSPs, and Connected Home Remote Management for users via PC or Smartphone. Friendly is also committed to providing a content management application on the CPE.
