Friendly Technologies released Version 2 of the TR-069 Friendly Tester, offering Automated Interoperability Testing of CPEs based on the Broadband Forum's TR-069 specification and the PD-128 test plan. The product is intended for CPE vendors and xSPs.

Alvarion, a leading supplier of WiMAX equipment and solutions, selected Friendly's TR-069 Management Suite as the preferred solution to manage BSNL's network of WiMAX CPEs. The system has dedicated WiMAX features, and most of the various WiMAX CPEs passed TR-069 interoperability tests under the Friendly TR-069 ACS.

Airspan announced that it will deploy Friendly TR-069 ACS in the USA to a WiMAX provider in North Carolina to manage tens of thousands devices. The system is planned to support 50,000 devices in the first year, but the hardware architecture chosen will enable Airspan to manage a much larger number of devices.
The device management system will enable Airspan to provide their WiMAX ISP customers with Zero-Touch provisioning, remote update, and remote diagnostic and monitoring.

Romania Telecom (RTC) extended their system to support 1M+ CPEs. Additionally, RTC deployed Friendly Support Center application, which is part of Friendly’s TR-069 full solution. It is targeted to customer support reps (CSRs) for managing a specific CPE during a call from a user. The software enables the CSR to diagnose and solve problems remotely on the user's CPEs. The solution supports modem/routers, IPTV/STBs, ATA/VoIP, storage devices, media centers, etc.

Nordnet (a subsidiary of France Telecom) will deploy a full solution of device management, including ACS, support cost reduction features, a CSR application to reduce duration of average support calls to the help desk and a self-support portal for end users to automatically solve problems by themselves, and reduce the number of calls to the help desk.
