Romania's extensive mobile communications network, Orange Romania, has chosen the Friendly Technologies TR-069 Device Management solution to manage IP phones, improving the QoE for business customers throughout the country. Friendly's product will be used by Orange Romania to manage the IP phones of Yealink and Grandstream, and a range of routers.
Friendly announced a release of version 4 of its TR-069 device management platform. The software is used by carriers and xSPs to manage devices such as routers, modems, IAD/RG, STB, ATA/VoIP devices, IP-phones and more.
Romania Telecom (RTC) extended their system to support over one million CPEs. Additionally, RTC deployed Friendly's TR-069 Call Center application, which is part of Friendly's TR-069 full solution. It is targeted to customer support representative (CSRs) for managing a specific CPE during a call from a user. The software enables the CSR to diagnose and solve problems remotely on the user's CPEs. The solution supports modem/routers, IPTV/STBs, ATA/VoIP, storage devices, media centers, etc.
Bezeq, Israel's largest Telecom, deployed Friendly's TR-069 tester to perform automated inter-operability testing of CPEs based on the Broadband Forum's TR-069 specification and the PD-128 test plan.
The tests help verify the compliance of devices to the TR-069 standard and help discover problems that are difficult to detect once the devices are deployed. The tests also eliminate the need to manually test the devices for TR-069 interoperability and compliance, reducing costs and time to market.
The Friendly TR-069 WiMAX version is the most widely installed WiMAX device management software. It has already been deployed at over 50 WiMAX providers worldwide, making it the world's most installed software for WiMAX device management.
